“Takep Dance" is an original performance, using bamboo instruments called “Seigo-on (written by 「誠五音(せいごおん)」in Japanese-character)” and “Takep Shoes” created by SEIGO himself. He performs a double role in this instrumental performance: while making various kinds of rhythm on “Takep Shoes”, he plays “Seigo-on” to make some melody or rhythm. (and the word “Takep Dance” is a combination of Japanese and English words for “Take” and “tap dance”. “Take” means “bamboo” in Japanese.)
He was born in Hyogo prefecture in 1973.He started to play the Trombone when he was 13 years old.
He graduated from the Faculty of Music,Kyoto City University of Arts,Japan in 1996.He developed an original trombone made of bamboo,called "Seigo-on".It was applied for utility model registration as a bamboo wind instrument(No.3153055) in 2009.He developed an original bamboo tap shoes,"Takep Shoes" in 2012.
"Seigo-on","Takep Shoes" and "Takep Dance" were registered as trademarks in 2019.He has visited Europe,America,India,Southeast Asia,Africa and so on and has played performances in various places.
